Aquatics and Indoor Stadium Feasibility Study

Solucio was engaged to undertake an Aquatics and Indoor Stadium Feasibility Study to inform future decision-making and support the provision of optimal indoor sport and leisure facilities for the community.

The key objective of the project was to identify opportunities to provide high-quality, accessible, affordable, inclusive, well-planned, managed and maintained facilities for the community, while developing a series of recommendations for the future of each facility.

The methodology for the project included:

• Provision and service gap analysis of all facilities.
• A consultation process, including in-depth interviews and an online community survey.
• Identification of a series of potential indoor stadium and aquatic options.
• Proposal of potential upgrades and assessment of the final options.
• Development of concept designs for new and existing indoor stadium options, including costings.

The completed Study addressed existing issues and identified opportunities and recommendations to better cater for the current and future needs of the community.
