Facility Strategy

Solucio was engaged to develop a State Facilities Strategy for Basketball Tasmania, which supports identified priorities in Basketball Tasmania’s Position Statement.

The aim of this project was to provide Basketball Tasmania with a body of evidence to support key facility planning and priority projects over the foreseeable future.

The methodology for this project involved:

• Comprehensive review and analysis of relevant documentation – including the Basketball Tasmania Position Statement.
• Situation Analysis including population, demographic, membership, participation, organisational and industry datasets.
• Facility needs analysis and the preparation of evidence-based summaries for Tasmanian regions.
• Collaborative workshops with the project group to inform the development of the final Strategy.

The final outcome was a Strategy which further advocates for the key priorities within Basketball Tasmania’s basketball landscape, helping Basketball Tasmania make basketball the choice of sport for all Tasmanians.
