Facility Guidelines

Solucio was engaged to develop Basketball Victoria’s Facilities Guidelines. The aim of this project was to provide Basketball Victoria with a tailored resource to guide the development and redevelopment of basketball facilities statewide.

Our approach involved a foundation of desktop research, analysis of existing technical resources, stakeholder consultation, and a facility design aspect.

The methodology for this project involved:

• Site visits to existing Basketball facilities.
• Literature review of key documentation and other benchmark information.
• Analysis of key basketball trends.
• In-depth interviews with key Basketball Victoria facility partners and suppliers.
• A series of collaborative workshops with Basketball Victoria to facilitate the development of the guidelines.

The final outcome was an industry-leading and future-focused document which will guide the development of safe, efficient and inclusive basketball facilities.
