Community Impact Study

Solucio was engaged to understand the holistic impact football has in New South Wales and to elevate its standing in the eyes of key stakeholders and all levels of government.

The objective of these projects was to determine the economic, health and social contribution football makes to the broader community in New South Wales to help justify ongoing support into the future

The methodology for this project involved:

• Extensive primary survey research conducted over three years supported by extensive secondary research, data analysis and economic modelling.
• Qualitative insights to understand the Social Impact of Football in the community.
• An extensive range of case studies that promotes the benefits of sport to the community, in particular football to continue to grow investment.

The outcome included an increase of 23% in the overall contribution of football to the NSW community between 2015 and 2018, validating FNSW ability to advocate to all levels of Government, and other key stakeholders, about the valuable contribution football makes to communities in NSW.
