Australian Golf Facility Guidelines

Solucio was engaged to develop a dedicated national resource to lead best practice planning, design, development, management and maintenance of golf facilities and infrastructure.

This resource will cater for the diverse needs of a broad range of stakeholders, including golf club and facility managers, state and local government partners and other key golf industry stakeholders.

The guidelines provide direction around the development of golf facilities that are:

• Welcoming and inclusive.
• Economically and environmentally sustainable.
• Designed to support innovative and nontraditional activities to grow participation.

The final document was a first of its kind in Australia and leading the world in its approach, providing a resource that caters for the diverse needs of a broad range of stakeholders. It will transform golf clubs and facilities to be modern, thriving and sustainable community hubs, improve the sustainability and financial viability of clubs and facilities, drive greater diversity and innovation in the planning and development of golf facilities and increase investment into golf infrastructure projects.
