Victorian Golf Infrastructure Strategy and Facility Guidelines

Solucio was engaged to provide a holistic approach to the future planning of courses and facilities throughout Victoria.

The objective of this project was to provide Golf Australia with an evidence base of data and insights to guide future planning and prioritisation of investment into golf facilities and infrastructure.

The methodology for this project involved:

• Detailed review of strategies and policies from within Golf Australia, all levels of government, and overseas sources.
• Analysis, interactive mapping and visualisation of golf facilities, participation and demographics.
• Extensive stakeholder consultation process, including 24 workshops, 30 in-depth interviews and a large-scale online survey with over 3,500 participants.
• Series of strategy development workshops to refine strategic framework.

The final outcome was an infrastructure strategy which provides GA with clear direction and evidence to guide investment in golf infrastructure, which provides a strategic context for golf and the local community.
