Southcombe Park Use and Development Plan

Solucio was engaged to develop a Use and Development Plan for Southcombe Park, one of Moyne Shire’s most important multi-use sport, recreation, event and open space assets. The sites spans over 5 hectares.

The Site includes two greenfield open spaces, hardcourts, and an aquatic facility.

The objective of this project was to identify priorities for investment and integration within the site for the future, and to provide specific development plans for priority Park projects.

The methodology for this project involved:

• Site analysis including a high-level safety assessment based on CPTED principles.
• 10+ in-depth interviews with key targeted stakeholders from Council, governing bodies, as well as precinct user groups.
• Landscape plan identifying functional relationships within the site.
• Modelling of current supply of facilities and expected future demand.

This final outcome provided clear direction and insight into priorities for investment and integration for the future.
