Community Impact Study

Solucio was engaged to conduct a Community Impact Study for Netball Queensland. The purpose of the study is to provide NQ with a view of the scale of the netball industry in Queensland and clearly articulate the significant social benefits that netball delivers in the community.

The methodology for this project involved:

• Data review and collection of existing netball-specific sources, industry publications, and data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics and AusPlay.
• Extensive stakeholder consultation process, including:
• An online survey of netball participants, coaches and umpires across the states.
• 18-20 in-depth interviews with key stakeholders to unlock case studies of best practice community programs.
• Valuation and modelling of the key health, social and economic impacts of netball to Queensland communities.

The final report will articulate the valuable contribution and impact that volunteers have on the social, physical, and emotional wellbeing of netball participants and help support the case for ongoing and additional funding for netball well into the future.
