With a lifelong connection to community sport and growing expertise in sport and recreation planning, Angus brings both practical experience and thoughtful community-centred perspective to his role at Solucio. His personal experience as a player, coach, volunteer, and committee member gives him a strong understanding of grassroots sport and a clear sense of the impact well-planned infrastructure can have on participation and community wellbeing.

Better known to the Solucio team as ‘Gus’, he has become a very capable and enthusiastic contributor across a wide range of projects, including feasibility studies, master plans, and sport strategies. He is particularly drawn to the people side of projects, diving deep into community consultation and survey design to understand the unique facility and program needs of participants, clubs, communities, and Councils. Gus also enjoys working with participation, user, and operational data to uncover insights that inform smarter, more sustainable planning decisions.

Gus is curious and analytical by nature. His ability to blend community insight with technical analysis helps bring clarity to complex challenges, and ensures local perspectives are translated into practical, grounded, and forward-thinking solutions.

Outside of work, he is a committed St Kilda supporter, an active cricketer, and a dedicated volunteer at Beaumaris Cricket Club. When not on the field, you’ll likely find him snorkelling at Beaumaris Reef, walking his golden retriever Chilla, or experimenting with his latest Japanese-inspired recipes in the kitchen.
