Elly Mitchell
Graduate Consultant
Elly is a Graduate Consultant at Solucio with a growing track record in qualitative and quantitative research, accessibility mapping, and strategy development. Since starting in the sport sector in 2018 as a hockey coach, Elly has combined her passion for sport with a strong interest in evidence-based planning to support the development of more inclusive, accessible, and community-driven outcomes.
Before joining Solucio, Elly gained hands-on experience in both operational and coaching environments through roles at Black Rock Yacht Club and Mentone Grammar. At Black Rock, she worked across bar operations and administration, while at Mentone Grammar, she progressed from year-level hockey coach to leading both the girls’ and boys’ Firsts teams, demonstrating her ability to lead, adapt, and build meaningful relationships.
Elly’s key areas of expertise include survey design and reporting, spatial accessibility analysis, desktop research, and strategic support. She particularly enjoys the data analysis component of her role, where she helps uncover insights that shape clear, confident decisions for clients.
With a natural ability to build rapport and a personal, considered approach to stakeholder engagement, Elly contributes a grounded, client-focused perspective to every project. She is also working on developing her presentation skills to better share the impact of her work with clients and stakeholders.
Outside of work, Elly leads an active lifestyle centred around hockey, sailing, pilates, and running. She’s a proud Western Bulldogs supporter and follows Australia’s national hockey teams, the Hockeyroos and Kookaburras. She’s also a dedicated member and volunteer at Mentone Hockey Club and a participant in the Black Rock Yacht Club community.
When not on the field or water, Elly enjoys reading and planning her next travel adventure.
