Oxley Golf Club

Local Community Impact Study

Solucio was engaged by Oxley Golf Club to conduct a Local Community Impact Study, aimed at quantifying the economic, health, social, and environmental contributions the Club provides to the Brisbane community.

The purpose of the study was to understand and quantify the broad community contributions of the Club and how these may be further enhanced through investment and redevelopment of the site.

The methodology for this project involved:

  • Comprehensive data analysis on participation, health, and economic activity.
  • Survey of members and visitors to assess wellbeing and social impact.
  • Valuation modelling of physical and mental health benefits, local spending, employment and environmental contributions.

The study demonstrates OGC’s strong community value, with over $4.7 million in annual economic contribution, $342,000 in health benefits, and a wide range of social and environmental benefits.

The findings support the Club’s case for investment in a proposed redevelopment that would expand its facilities and deepen its community impact.
