SBP was engaged by BA to facilitate an independent review of its governance and administrative model, having been identified in the BA Strategic Plan as a strategic priority project.
The project involved a detailed evaluation of the sport’s previous governance and structural changes. The methodology included a thorough review of operational and financial data, historical and emerging issues, and a lengthy stakeholder engagement process. The consultation process included a national representative working group, 18 strategic interviews, and a series of iterative feedback sessions with national and state Boards.
The final report provided clear and independent recommendations on the best governance and administration structure for Bowls in Australia as well as a detailed action plan for implementing the key changes.
