Golf NSW

Description

SBP was engaged to understand the community impact that the golf industry makes in NSW. The objective of this project was to determine the contribution of the game to the community through economic, health, social and environmental benefits.

The project included extensive primary and secondary research, economic modelling, 12 depth interviews and an online survey with over 900 members of the golfing community.

The final outcome was a comprehensive assessment and report which highlighted the total annual community impact of golf in NSW of $1.42 billion which is driven by member clubs, a lifelong contribution to the prevention of disease, maintenance of strong social capital and a total annual health contribution of $48.1 million per year.
